I am person, who prefers homemade food compared to store-bought, simply because you know what you put in your body. One of the things that I make most commonly is granola. Not only that homemade granola is much cheaper and better for you, but it is very easy to make and requires just a few simple ingredients. The best thing about homemade things in general is that you can be creative and adjust everything to your own taste and preferences. I’ve tried several recipes for homemade muesli, but my personal favorite is my chocolate nut granola. You just need five ingredients and ten minutes to make it.
Ingredients:
1\2 cup walnuts
1\2 cup pumpkin seeds
1\2 cup rolled oats
1\2 cup dried cranberries
2 teaspoons raw cacao powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon, powdered vanilla or vanilla extract
1\2 cup sweetner of choice( I personally used honey) * If you have a sweet tooth feel free to add more
2 teaspoons coconut oil
What to do?:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread the already made mixture. Put the granola in the oven for 5 minutes, take out, mix threw one more time, so it doesn’t burn, put in the oven for 3-5 more minutes. Afterwards turn off the oven and let the granola cool in room temperature. And that’s it, you can keep your granola in a mason jar and use it for your next breakfast. I personally like it best with some almond milk and fresh seasonal fruit or eat it on its own as a snack. Feel free to change up the recipe up to your own taste and send me some of your own creations.
Enjoy!
